Get Started

These guides demonstrate the operational flexibility and speed of the Hazelcast In-Memory Computing Platform. Set-up in seconds, data in microseconds. Operations and developer friendly.

Hazelcast IMDG

Find out for yourself how to get a Hazelcast IMDG cluster up and running. In this Getting Started guide you’ll learn how to:

  • Create a Cluster of 3 Members.
  • Start the Hazelcast Management Center.
  • Add data to the cluster using a sample client in the language of your choice.
  • Add and remove some cluster members to demonstrate the automatic rebalancing of data and back-ups.

Hazelcast Jet

Learn how to run a distributed data stream processing pipeline in Java. In this Getting Started guide you’ll learn how to:

  • Start a Hazelcast Jet cluster in your JVM.
  • Build the Word Count application.
  • Execute the application wit Jet.
  • Push testing data to the cluster and explore results

As a next step, you will be able explore the code samples and extend your setup more features and connectors.

Use Cases

Hazelcast IMDG and Hazelcast Jet power a number of in-memory and stream processing use cases, both on their own and through integrations with popular open-source technologies.

Application Acceleration and Scaling

Hazelcast can be used to accelerate and scale your SaaS or custom internal applications by increasing throughput and reducing the latency of data accesses on disk-based databases. Add Hazelcast as an in-memory story between your application and your database to handle more users and higher load while improving response times. Updates that your applications make to data in Hazelcast will be passed through to the underlying database to ensure data synchronization.

Cache-as-a-Service (CaaS)

Hazelcast provides a cache-as-a-service for scalable, reliable, and fast caching. Applications can use Hazelcast as side-cache to their database, or place the database in-line behind the caching service.

Operating in today’s always-on, high-volume, high-speed, high-expectation world requires a different level of processing enablement. When microseconds can mean the difference between success and failure, Hazelcast in-memory caching solutions can deliver blinding speed with scalable and flexible data caching.

Database Caching

Organizations rely on database caching to predictably scale mission-critical applications by providing in-memory access to frequently used data. As customer data grows exponentially, organizations of all sizes are turning to in-memory solutions to scale applications to meet service level agreements, offload over-burdened shared data services, and provide availability guarantees.

Fast Batch Processing

Hazelcast Jet employs many performance optimizations to speed up batch processing up to 15 times compared to Spark or Flink. Hadoop is overperformed by magnitudes.

Hibernate Second-Level Cache

Hazelcast smoothly integrates with Hibernate 3 and Hibernate 4, providing distributed caching support based on Hazelcast IMap technology. Features like scalability, in-memory backups, and automatic eviction are fundamentals of the Hazelcast architecture. Hazelcast brings those features to the Hibernate world.

In-Memory Data Grid

In today's high-speed, time-is-money world, Hazelcast IMDG moves the needle where it matters most: speed that opens up new opportunities for innovation across your organization; scalability and elasticity that always keeps you at the optimal execution point; stability driven by distributed deployments that execute in parallel; and deeply integrated security capabilities to minimize disruption to your users and customers.

In-Memory NoSQL

Hazelcast enables you to leverage the flexibility and performance of NoSQL data stores such as key-value and document databases with the added benefits of a distributed, horizontally scalable system that runs entirely in memory for blazing-fast performance.

Hazelcast in-memory solutions provide the speed and dexterity needed in today's high-performance engineering environments, from development to manufacturing to logistical support. Innovate with Hazelcast.
